The IAMI project aims to transform entity identification and resolution in security, intelligence, and investigations, addressing current limitations with advanced AI-powered software. At its core is the Identity-Attributes-Matrix (IAM), a 3D model integrating biometric, non-biometric, and analytic data to enable large-scale, rapid, and high-confidence identification of individuals, entities, and even bots. IAMI’s system seamlessly integrates with existing case management and analytic tools, improving data accuracy, reducing false positives, and enabling real-time, multi-entity processing. It also supports cross-agency collaboration via an EU-wide repository for terrorist threat assessment, enriching the capabilities of organisations like EUROPOL and INTERPOL. The project will be demonstrated through pilots, training, and workshops, advancing EU security and intelligence capabilities in the fight against terrorism.

FBK ROLE

FBK is the IAMI Work package 3 (WP3) Leader. WP3 focuses on data acquisition, AI model training, and system integration, testing, and optimisation. The main responsibilities include acquiring high-quality datasets that comply with GDPR and the EU AI Act for training the AI models. FBK will ensure that the AI models are trained and optimised in alignment with EU regulations and the AP4AI framework. Additionally, WP3 will oversee the integration of all system modules into a single, cohesive platform, conducting extensive testing and validation to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Finally, this WP will implement essential cybersecurity measures on the developed prototype to ensure its robustness. It participates with its Digital Society Center (PMG) and its Augmented Intelligence Center (DVL, STEK).
