SMASH was a powerful and innovative web-based platform to enhance spatial data analysis about sustainable mobility in more than 10 pilot cities: the project contributed to a modal shift towards sustainable mobility and to the parallel reduction on CO2 emissions, demonstrating the validated business model defined in the previous Climate KIC “SUMO” project (Pathfinder and Accelerator) with an ambitious target modal shifts to sustainable mobility in 3 target areas (Italy, UK, Finland). SMASH implemented an innovative web platform and demonstrated the services on sustainable mobility data analytics. SMASH platform provided innovative services for data visualization and dashboards to support the decision support scenarios. The platform is a web-based open source component used to ingest, process and provide visual representations (maps, dashboards, infographics) of mobility analytics, based on heterogeneous raw data (bicycles, cars and buses).
