HD-MOTION is a Seal of Excellence initiative promoted by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy as part of the Digital Innovation Hubs programme. It serves as the hub for digital transformation in mobility, a flagship project led by the CIM4.0 Competence Centre in collaboration with key partners, including private enterprises, universities, and innovation hubs such as Politecnico di Torino, Cluster Trasporti, Confindustria Piemonte, Digital Innovation Hub Piemonte, Unione Industriali Torino, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Intesa Sanpaolo, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Università degli Studi di Napoli, Università degli Studi dell’Aquila, Fondazione LINKS, Almaviva, and RadioLabs. Its primary objective is to accelerate the development of enabling technologies by driving the digitalisation of sustainable mobility and transport services, a crucial effort as Italy’s mobility sector undergoes a profound transformation with the rise of electric vehicles, smart cities, and digital infrastructures. Through HD-MOTION, the aim is to enhance the competitiveness of Italian companies by bridging technological gaps, fostering collaboration between enterprises and innovation hubs focused on vehicle production and digital transportation systems, and delivering comprehensive training programmes to support workforce development, talent relocation, and integration within the market, ensuring Italy’s leadership in sustainable and digital transport innovation.
