The S2HOES pilot project aims to assess whether the application of modern information and communication technologies as well as a gamification approach in the classroom can motivate more children to travel to school in an active, safe and sustainable way. S2HOES will also assess whether these technologies influence participants’ awareness of road safety and sustainable mobility in general. The ultimate goal of S2HOES is to offer children and their parents a concrete alternative to using private cars to travel to school.
